In another case of sexual assault and shaming humanity in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua’s Hiranagar, a teen girl has been gang-raped by 14 men. This incident has been reported from Rajbagh police station. A 19-year-old girl from Gujjar community has filed a case against 14 people of her own community for abduction and rape.
The police have started investigating the case, however, arrest of any accused was not confirmed till late in the evening.
According to the police, the case has been registered against the 14 people, identified as Roshan, Zatu, Samba, Awasiddin, Sabardin, Rajuddin, Master Roshan, Kiya, Alam, Shukhu, Saab, Farman, Raju, Aslam.
Police station in-charge Amit Sangda said that a case has been registered against these people. No arrest has been done so far. The police have registered this case under section 376D, 366, 452, 357 RPC.
Last year, in January an 8-year-old girl from Kathua was allegedly raped by eight persons. The girl's mutilated body was found days after the incident.
