Aligarh Murder Case: Two-and-a-half year old girl murdered, body mutilated, eyes gouged out over loan of Rs 5,000

In a one of the cruellest brutal murder case from Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh, a 2-hand-a-half-year old girl was brutally killed and the body was mutilated. The incident took place in Aligarh district’s Tappal area, where a case of kidnapping was lodged by the police. The girl was killed over an argument with her family regarding a small loan amount.

On May 31, the minor’s parents registered missing report with Aligarh police. The accused, Muhammed Zahid, a resident of Tappal area and his friend Aslam were arrested on Tuesday after the police recovered the body of the minor buried. The police discovered the body of the girl buried in the dumping ground around which the stray dogs were nibbling.


The accused Zahid killed the minor over Rs 5,000 that her family owed from Zahid on which they got engaged in a fight. He had an argument with the victim's uncle and grandfather over a financial debt.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Akash Kulhary told media that a post-mortem report has revealed strangulation as the cause of death. He also said that medical reports show no sign of sexual assault. During interrogation Zahid said that he had lured the child by offering her biscuits.

“A case of kidnapping was registered on May 31. The accused have been arrested and they have confessed to the crime. It was a case of personal enmity but there is no sign of rape. The minor was strangled to death and her eyes were gouged out. The accused are in jail now,” Akash Kulhari, SSP Aligarh, was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

The girl’s body was found in a severe condition with her eyes gouged out and her hands broken. The locals called it negligence of the police in the case and staged blockades in the area and demanded justice for the girl. According to the Times Now report, the FIR was lodged 30 hours after the minor went missing.

The accused Zahid strangulated the girl with a dupatta and hid the boy in a straw bag inside his house. When the body started emitting a foul smell, he threw it in a pile of trash and later buried in the dumping ground.
