In another shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh, a Dalit woman was allegedly stripped and paraded naked on Sunday, a report said on 11 May.

A property dispute led to the woman's humiliation in Shahjahanpur district's Khairatia village, in the state

Two days ago, a Dalit woman who was allegedly framed in false cases by the police, succumbed to her injuries in Kanpur. After her death, six police officers have reportedly been suspended by higher authorities.

In 2015, five women in Hareva village of Shahjahanpur district had faced a similar ordeal.

The latest incident occurred over a land dispute between two groups in Khairatia village in Khutar.

People from one group forcibly dragged the Dalit woman out of her house on Sunday night when she was alone, reports said. The accused stripped the woman naked and beat her with sticks and rods.

Her husband and other family members were not at home at the time of the incident. She was later dumped her near a pond.

It is now being alleged that the local police didn't pay any heed to her ordeal and even refused to lodge her complaint saying the allegations levelled by her were due to the family dispute.
