Krunal Pandya mankading MS Dhoni

Krunal Pandya gave mankading warning to MS Dhoni during the match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. MS Dhoni once again proved that his reflexes and his sharp mind is still one of the best in the game as he was always in the crease. The incident took place during the 14th over when Krunal was bowling to Kedar Jadhav and MS Dhoni was at non-striker’s end.

Impressed by Dhoni’s reflexes, commentator Sanjay Manjrekar said, “Right instincts for Dhoni. The bat was inside, the ball was in the scene. He does most things right. Just out of instincts, with Dhoni very rarely will you see him do something that is incorrect.”

Ravichandran Ashwin sparked controversy after mankading Jos Buttler in an IPL match between Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians’ top-order was demolished by Chennai’s bowling order after Quinton de Kock was dismissed by Deepak Chahar. Rohit Sharma too couldn’t score big as he was sent back to pavilion by Ravindra Jadeja.

Suryakumar Yadav looked good as he scored an amazing half-century before he was dismissed by Dwayne Bravo for 59 off 43. Krunal Pandya was also looking good as he scored 42 off 32 before he was dismissed by Mohit Sharma.

Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard finished it for Mumbai as Pandya scored 25 off just 8 balls, while Pollard hit 17 off 7. Pandya’s 25 run knock included 3 sixes and 1 four, while Pollard hit two sixes. Mumbai finished their innings at 170-5 in 20 overs.

In the second innings, Chennai Super Kings were 3 wickets down before the first power-play was over. Jason Behrendorff bowled beautifully taking two wickets in his debut match, while Lasith Malinga took three to his name. Hardik Pandya also took three wickets and was awarded the man of the match award.

Mumbai Indians defeated Chennai Super Kings to win their 100th IPL match and thus became the only team to do so, the second best team is Chennai Super Kings as they have 93 wins under their name. Mumbai beat CSK by 37 runs despite Kedar Jadhav making 58 off 54.
