IPL 2018: OMG! Virender Sehwag is not coming back; Kings XI Punjab pulls a prank on April Fool's Day

As on 1st April, it was April Fool's Day celebrated by people worldwide and Indian's too plotted a prank to fool people just like others IPL franchise Kings XI Punjab also pulled a prank on their fans on April Fool's day eve.

The IPL side KXIP led by Ravichandran Ashwin on 1st April tweeted a shocking announcement of the team that left cricket fans stunned. The KXIP tweeted that the legendary cricketer Virender Sehwag will come out of his retirement for a match against Delhi Daredevils on 8th April. It also tweeted that Sehwag will replace KXIP's opener Aaron Finch in their first match in Mohali.

Kings XI Punjab tweeted, BREAKING NEWS:
You're in for a real treat. @virendersehwag will take the field in Vivo @IPL once again, replacing @AaronFinch5 for the season opener. It's deja vu all over again.

In the same day later the tweet had an update, which read, "Whoops, April Fools! Sorry sheron, as much as we would like to see Viru-paaji take the field for us again, it isn't really happening."

"This was just a little prank that the Fun-jabi side of us couldn't resist. Hope we haven't ruffled too many feathers. Peace!"

Later, Virender Sehwag has also come out revealing that it was a prank via IPL side, Kings XI, Punjab's official social media channel.

"Guys, hope you enjoyed my batting. That was the perfect April Fool. I think this is my first prank to my fans, to Kings XI Punjab fans and to everybody," Sehwag explained about the prank.

"Thanks to media who reported that I am going to be back again, but that's not true. It was April Fool. Thank you so much. Wish you all the best. Keep watching Kings XI Punjab page, keep watching Kings XI Punjab matches. Love you guys."

Kings XI Punjab's Yuvraj Singh was the first to comment saying 'he was looking forward to seeing Virender Sehwag play again'.
