IPL 2018: Mohammed Shami returns to Delhi Daredevils; will the wounded tiger roar for Gautam Gambhir's team

Mohammad Shami, who has recently been in news for the allegations levelled against him by his wife for having extra-marital affairs and harassing her physically. Shami even lost his BCCI contract days after the incident surfaced. Hasin Jahan also accused Shami of doing financial transactions with an unidentified Pakistani girl in Dubai that led to BCCI's Anti Corruption Unit launching an inquiry on Shami. However, Shami came out of the investigation, safe.

Shami's life now seems to be getting back to normal. Shami, Playing for Delhi Daredevils happens to be the ace bowler of the team. The dates of the first match are coming closer and Shami is well getting prepared for that. Shami has already started sweating in the nets. Shami also sustained a head injury after his vehicle collided with a truck when he was on way to Delhi from Dehradun following a short training stint at Abhimanyu Cricket Academy (ACA).

Shami was seen doing fitness drills at Delhi's Feroz Shah Kotla ground. Also, he did some catching practice before the warm-up match.

With troubles in his personal life and the recent head injury that he sustained, there were doubts over Shami being able to play in the IPL 2018. However, Shami, like a fighter has overcome all the obstacles, braving all problems.

There were serious doubts over Shami's chances of playing the IPL. There were clouds even over his career. However, his participation was cleared the moment the BCCI offered him a fresh central contract, which it had withheld following his wife's police complaint.
