Kolkata Knight Riders bowled out Delhi Daredevils for a paltry score of 98 in the opening match of their IPL 2016 campaign at Eden Gardens on Sunday, 9 April.

Kolkata Knight Riders elected to bowl first after winning the toss, with Mayank Agarwal and Quinton de Kock opening the batting for Daredevils.

While De Kock started the innings off with some blistering shots for his side, the Delhi batting line-up caved in immediately after he departed for 17 runs.

Andre Russell took the first three wickets, and Delhi Daredevils failed to check the subsequent collapse, as wickets fell in quick succession.

Sanju Samson scored 15 runs, while Pawan Negi and Chris Morris scored 11 each. On the other hand, Russell and Brad Hogg both picked up three wickets each.

Piyush Chawla and John Hastings too impressed with the ball, and got two wickets each.
