Former England captain viciously trolls Delhi Capitals after their batting collapse

Former England captain Michael Vaughan savagely trolled Delhi Capitals after Kings XI Punjab snatched victory from their jaws. Delhi Capitals’ batting order collapsed as Sam Curran took hat-trick to blow them away. Michael Vaughan compared Delhi Capitals’ performance to that of previous years Delhi Daredevils’. Punjab won the match by 14 runs as Curran finished with a bowling figure of 4-11 and Delhi Capitals finished at 152 runs.

Shreyas Iyer led Delhi Capitals won the toss against Kings XI Punjab and decided to bowl first. In reply, Kings XI Punjab scored 166-9 in 20 overs.


As Chris Gayle was missing from Punjab’s playing XI, KL Rahul and Sam Curran opened the batting. Rahul was looking good before he was dismissed by Chris Morris for 15 runs. Sam Curran decided to up the ante as he scored 20 off 10 before he was bowled lbw by Sandeep Lamichhane.

Mayank Agarwal came in and became victim of an unfortunate run-out by Shikhar Dhawan. Sarfaraz Khan and David Miller notched up a 50 run partnership before Sarfaraz was dismissed Sandeep Lamichhane for 29-ball 39.

David Miller tried to launch himself but he was dismissed by Chris Morris for 43 off 30 as Rishabh Pant caught him behind the stumps. Hardus Viljoen came in and was dismissed by Kagiso Rabada for just 1 run as Chris Morris caught him at mid-wicket.

Ravichandran Ashwin was dismissed by Chris Morris for just 3 runs, while Murugan Ashwin was dismissed by Kagiso Rabada for 1. Mohammed Shami was run-out by Rabada after a mix-up with Mandeep Singh.

Chris Morris was the highest wicket taker for Delhi as he scalped 3 in his four overs, while Kagiso Rabada and Sandeep Lamichhane took two each.

Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan came in to bat in second innings and Shaw was dismissed by Ravichandran Ashwin off the first ball. Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer notched up a 61 run partnership before Iyer was dismissed by Hardus Viljoen for 22-ball 28. Dhawan was dismissed by R Ashwin off a carom ball for 25-ball 30.

Rishabh Pant was looking good as he made 26-ball 39 before he was dismissed by Mohammed Shami. Chris Morris came in and was run-out for a golden duck by Ravichandran Ashwin. Colin Ingram was dismissed by Sam Curran for 29-ball 38. Harshal Patel came in and was sent back for a golden duck as he was caught by KL Rahul behind the stumps off Sam Cuuran’s ball.

Hanuma Vihari was bowled by Mohammed Shami for just 2 runs as he tried playing a big shot. Sam Curran bowled Kagiso Rabada off his first ball in the 20th over, while Sandeep Lamichhane was his hat-trick wicket.

Sam Curran took four wickets for Punjab, while Mohammed Shami and R Ashwin took two each. Hardus Viljoen took one under his name.
