Kings XI Punjab batsman Chris Gayle makes this amazing record in the Indian Premier League. Gayle now has 300 sixes under his name. Gayle achieved this feat in a match against Mumbai Indians as he hit two back to back to sixes in the third over off Mitchell McClenaghan's over.

AB de Villiers is next in the list and he is way behind the destructive batsman, de Villiers has 193 sixes under his belt, which means he is 105 sixes behind Chris Gayle. While MS Dhoni is third on the list as he has 187 maximums under his name.

Kings XI Punjab have played two matches in this year’s IPL, they won their first match against Rajasthan Royals and lost their second match against Kolkata Knight Riders. Gayle hit 4 sixes in the first match to score 79 runs off 47 balls.

Chris Gayle also holds the record of hitting most sixes in an inning. He smashed 17 maximums against Pune Warriors in 2013 during his 175 run knock. His 175 run knock is also the highest individual score by any batsman in IPL history.
