Woman beats husband and his alleged girlfriend with 'chappal'; incident caught on cam
A video of a woman physically assaulting her husband and his alleged girlfriend has gone viral on social media. The incident took place in a gym in Bhopal’s Koh-e-Fiza area on October 15.
After the video went viral on social media, cross complaints were registered with the Bhopal police.
Suspecting that her husband was in a relationship with another woman, the 30-year-old woman, along with her sister, reached the gym where her husband was exercising in the presence of his alleged girlfriend and others.
In the viral video, the woman can be seen scuffling with her husband and then attacking his alleged girlfriend.
"The woman suspected that her husband was having a relationship with this woman in the gym. She started hitting the latter with shoes while others, including the man, tried to stop her. The entire ruckus went on for ten minutes. On Sunday, the woman and her husband lodged complaints against each other," Anil Bajpai, in charge at the Koh-e-Fiza police station, was quoted in a PTI report.
However, the man has refuted all the allegations made by his wife and said he doesn’t even know the woman who she is saying his girlfriend, the police official said.
Meanwhile, police have filed cases under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 294 (obscene act), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code in the case.
According to Bajpai, the woman had earlier filed a harassment and dowry case against her husband in Shahjahanabad police station here.
Since then, the 30-year-old woman was living with her parents and notices are being served on the couple for further interrogation, Bajpai said.
