Shocker: 65-year-old man rapes minor girl after luring her with chocolate

A 65-year-old man allegedly raped an eight-year-old girl in the Madurai district of Tamil Nadu on Saturday.

Police have arrested the accused man on Sunday, following a complaint by the survivor’s mother.

The incident took place when the accused, P Karuthan of Mayandipatti, lured the minor girl with a chocolate bar when she was playing outside her house on Saturday evening, timesnownews.com reported. the sexagenarian took the minor girl to a cattle shed near his house and then assaulted her sexually.

Girl narrates ordeal:

After returning home, the minor girl complained of pain, following which her mother asked about it. Subsequently, she narrated her ordeal to her mother. Later, the victim girl’s mother approached the Othakadai police and filed a complaint against the accused man, a report by The Times of India.

Following a complaint, police arrested the 65-year-old accused man and booked him under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Another minor girl rape case:

In yet another case, a youth allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl in a village in Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, police said on Monday.

The incident took place on February 4 when the minor girl had gone to attend nature’s call, police said.

The accused youth, who is a resident of the same village, allegedly grabbed the girl and forcibly took her to the isolated place, where he sexually assaulted her, timesnownews.com reported.

The victim girl’s father, who works in Himachal Pradesh along with his son, reached the village and filed a complaint against the accused youth.

Police have booked the accused under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The 15-year-old rape survivor was sent to a hospital for medical examination.
