Rajasthan Murder Case

In a recent development coming in from Rajasthan’s Bhilwara district, two people have been taken into police custody for allegedly slitting the throat of a woman using a knife and bludgeoning her to death over a land dispute.

The victim's mother-in-law had sold a piece of land to which she was against. The victim, identified as Sajna, was dicontended as her mother-in-law wanted to sell the land without letting her know.

The incident took place on 20th May. Cops have taken two accused into their custody, identified as Narayan Jatt, the mastermind, and Ugma Lal Jatt in connection with the gruesome murder. A further police investigation revealed that Narayan gave a sum of Rs 1 lakh to kill the woman.

Banera SHO Nandlal Rinwa stated, "The mother-in-law of the victim, Rupi Devi, sold a piece of land which was registered on May 19. Since the victim was not in favour of selling the land, Narayan and Ugma hatched a conspiracy to kill the woman. The other accused, Ugma, worked in a factory and he was in dire need of money, prompting him to help Narayan to kill Sajna."

According to an initial information, the victim's mother-in-law wanted to sell a land without letting Sajna know. Sajna, who also had a share over the land, opposed to this and was killed later.

On 19th May, Ugma went to Sajna's residence and asked her to make tea for him. Heedless about his cruel intents, Sajna went to the kitchen to make tea, and during the same time, the accused took the knife and slit Sajna’s throat and later, bludgeoned her to death.

The accused also stole the jewellery from the victim's body and ran away from the crime spot.

Following Sajna’s murder, police launched an investigation and apprehended the perpetrators. However, the victim's mother-in-law was unware of Narayan's and Ugma's intents and was not at all involved in the crime.
