Seth Meyers and wife Alexi Ashe welcomes son Axel Strahl in apartment lobby
Seth Meyers, an American comedian welcomed his second child with a dramatic entrance. Alexi Ashe welcomed her baby boy Axel Strahl who was born in a lobby of their apartment.
The Late Night with Seth Meyers host, 44 welcomed their second child on April 8 and shared the incredible story of delivery on social media.
The couple also has a 2-year-old son named Ashe Olson, Seth told his fans that the newborn son Axel couldn’t wait for his parents to arrive at the hospital to make his debut.

Seth expressed his gratitude towards New York Police Department, who arrived at the spot and helped cut the cord. His neighbors too helped them, put towels in the dryer to keep Axel warm until more help arrived.
Meyers said, “I called 911 and over the course of a minute conversation, I said, ‘We’re about to have a baby — we’re having a baby — we had a baby."
Seth said, “I’m getting choked up thinking about how brave I was.”
He also shared a photo of the birth on the show, which depicted his wife lying on the ground holding their son to her chest as emergency personnel held an oxygen mask to her mouth. Meyers knelt beside her, grinning away at the camera.
People on Twitter congratulated the couple. One user tweeted, “@sethmeyers you had me weeping with joy tonight. Congratulations to you and your growing family. Welcome Axel. A beautiful story to erase all the bad news from my head.”
