American singer Demi Lovato is awake and in a stable condition after she was taken to the hospital for the apparent drug overdose, as per the statement from the singer's representative.
Lovato was rushed to an L.A. hospital and was admitted after suffering from a drug overdose, what appears to be a heroin, according to law enforcement who told TMZ.
“Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support,” Lovato’s representative said in a statement Tuesday evening. “Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”
The Heart attack singer was not at all cooperative as she refused to tell paramedics what drug caused her to overdose, and law enforcement sources say no drugs were seized at her home.
The singer was out on Monday night celebrating a friend's birthday in West Hollywood, as she posted photos on her Instagram of herself along with others. She seemed happy in the pics.

Multiple reports stated that the victim was the 25-year-old singer and the United States X Factor judge, who has struggled for years with substance abuse.
Recently, Lovato revealed that she had relapsed, just months after celebrating six years of sobriety. "To the ones who never left me / We've been down this road before / I'm so sorry, I'm not sober anymore," Lovato sang on her recent single Sober, which features on her latest album Tell Me You Love Me.
Demi Lovato received well wishes from her many friends and fans shortly after news of Lovato’s hospitalisation from Ariana Grande, Ex Joe Jonas, Lady Gaga, and many from Hollywood and music industry.
