La Liga: Barcelona held by Valencia; Atletico, Real Madrid post comfortable wins

Lorenzo Santi Mina scored late on for Valencia against table-toppers Barcelona on Sunday, 5 December, as Los Che held the Catalan giants to a 1-1 draw at the Mestalla Stadium.

Uruguayan forward had put Barcelona ahead in the 59th minute, before Mina scored in the 86th minute to level the scoreline. Despite the draw, Barcelona continue to lead the table with 34 points from 14 games.

On the other hand, Real Madrid handed Getafe a 4-1 thrashing at the Santiago Bernabeu to cut down Barcelona's lead over them to just 4 points. Benzema, Bale and Ronaldo were all on the scoresheet for Real, while Alexis scored a consolation goal for Getafe.

In another game, Atletico Madrid cruised to a 2-0 away win over Granada to stay in the second spot in the table, just 2 points behind leaders Barcelona.
