Colombia claimed a 2-1 win over Paraguay in their second Group A contest at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena on Tuesday, 7 June, to become the first team to book a spot in the quarterfinals of the Copa America Centenario.
AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca dispatched a clinical header to put Colombia ahead in the 12th minute before Real Madrid star Rodriguez doubled the lead on the half-hour mark.
Although Paraguay tried to launch a comeback when Victor Ayala scored a goal in the 71st minute, Colombia successfully held off their rivals until the final whistle.
With the win, Colombia are assured of a top two finish with one game remaining against Costa Rica this weekend.
