Former India international Yuvraj Singh has taken a jibe at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) relating to No.4 batting position. The country’s apex cricket board has not been able to decide who will play for India at No.4 position.

Before the World Cup, team management was focusing on Ambati Rayudu for the position but that changed during a home series against Australia. BCCI then focused on Vijay Shankar and he was eventually selected for the World Cup squad. Vijay Shankar got injured midway and was replaced by Mayank Agarwal.

Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh posted a tweet backing Sanju Samson for the position after the Kerala youngster smashed 91 runs playing against South Africa A. “Why not @IamSanjuSamson at number 4 in odi.. with good technique and good head on his shoulders.. well played today anyways against SA A,” Harbhajan Singh wrote.

Former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh taking a dig at BCCI commented, “Top order is very strong bro they don’t need no 4 batsman.”
