Watch: Imran Tahir's unique celebration after taking danger man Andre Russell's wicket

Chennai Super Kings player Imran Tahir celebrated in an unique style after dismissing danger man Andre Russell in a second face-off between CSK and Kolkata Knight Riders. Imran Tahir dismissed the big-hitting Russell for just 10 runs.

Imran Tahir ran towards the crowd in his regular celebration style, stretching both hands like wings. The incident took place in 15th over when Kolkata were four wickets down at 132 runs. Russell tried to play a shot at long-on when a substitute fielder Dhruv Shorey took a fantastic catch to dismiss him. Shorey was awarded the catch of the match trophy for his effort, while Tahir took man of the match and game changer of the match award. 


 

Chennai Super Kings won the toss and opted to bowl first as Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine were back in Kolkata’s squad after a day of rest. Lynn played an astonishing knock as he scored 82 off 51 balls. Sunil Narine couldn’t perform well and so did all other batsmen. Suresh Raina was the highest scorer for Chennai as he hit 58 off 42 balls. Imran Tahir picked up four wickets and also won the purple cap for highest wicket-taker in IPL 2019 so far.

Chennai Super Kings beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 5 wickets at Eden Gardens and won their second game against Kolkata this season. Chennai Super Kings are comfortably sitting at top of the points table as they have 14 points to their name and won seven out of the eight matches they have played so far. After CSK, the second highest team in terms of points are Delhi Capitals, who have 10 points.
