Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) officials got involved in a fist fight in the course of the state cricket body’s annual meeting on Sunday. Former Indian cricketer turned politician Gautam Gambhir shared a clip in which some officials of the DDCA can be witnessed exchanging blows on stage.

Gautam Gambrir solicited the newly elected BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly and board secretary Jay Shah to dessolve the state unit with immidiate effect, calling on to life ban for those involved in the altercation.

"DDCA GOES 'ALL OUT'... AND DDCA IS ALL OUT FOR A SHAMEFUL DUCK. Look, how handful of crooks are making mockery of an institution. I'd urge @BCCI @SGanguly99 @JayShah to dissolve @delhi_cricket immediately. Surely, sanctions or even a life ban for those involved," Gautam Gambhir captioned the video on Twitter.

In the 43 second long clip, a man can be viewed charging towards another with his fist raised before few stepped in to pacify the two. However, the situation got out of hand after most of the officials started exchanging blows on stage.

As maintained by IANS, DDCA joint secretary Rajan Manchanda is among those who can be seen in the rumpus which reportedly came about after the members couldn’t agree on the agenda passed at the meeting.

The DDCA issued an official statement on its twitter handle, without mentioning the melee at the AGM.

"Thank you members. The Board of Directors of the DDCA extends its sincere gratitude and thanks all its esteemed members for having attended the AGM of the Company on a chilly and cold Sunday morning and having extended their wholehearted support and backing the Board's vision and endeavour to take the Company to greater heights. Warmest regards," the DDCA stated. Following the drama at the AGM, the DDCA named Justice Deepak Verma as ombudsman and announced that the president of the body will be elected by 13th January.
