'Modern cricket great' Virat Kohli can break 'God of Cricket' Sachin Tendulkar's record of hundred centuries in International cricket believes former Pakistani speedster, Shoaib Akhtar.

It was recently when Virat Kohli listed himself in the elite club of cricket greats by becoming the 8th overall player to have the maximum number of centuries. In the first Test match against Sri Lanka during the second inning, Virat Kohli completed his 50th international century (Test-18, ODI-32). The most remarkable thing about Virat Kohli's 50th century was that he is one of the quickest players to achieve this feat.

Now in a new development, the legendary Pakistani pacer who have disturbed the sleep of many batsmen confessed that he believes that Virat Kohli can even play cricket in his forties and he can break the record of Sachin Tendulkar's centuries of the century in the international cricket. The speedster further reveals that even though comparison with Master blaster is not good and it can not be justified but Virat Kohli is "only player who can break Tendulkar's record".

While talking to Khaleej Times Shoaib Akhtar said, "Virat Kohli is a modern-day great. When it comes to run chases, no one has ever shown the better understanding of pacing an inning. Yes, he has 50 international centuries now. I think he is the only player who can break Tendulkar's record. But there is no pressure on him. He should just go out there and enjoy the game. He should just look after himself.

"If Misbah-ul-Haq can play until 43, I am sure Virat can play until he is 44. If he plays that long and if he continues to score the way he is doing now, I have no doubt that he is the only one who can do it. In fact, he can hit 120 centuries. But comparing him to Sachin is not justified. Sachin was an all-time great. In today's era, Virat Kohli is the greatest batsman."

The most interesting thing about Virat Kohli and Shoaib Akhtar is that when Virat Kohli started his international inning, it was the time Shoaib Akhtar's international career was coming to end.
