Ravindra Jadeja shines against West Indies as India finishes at 297 in first innings

In the first Test match between India and West Indies, the visiting team scored 297 runs in the first innings. India lost three early wickets in Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli but KL Rahul and Ajinkya Rahane held up the innings.

KL Rahul scored 44 runs before he was dismissed by Roston Chase, while Ajinkya Rahane scored 81 runs before being dismissed by Shannon Gabriel. Hanuma Vihari scored 32 runs before he was dismissed, Kemar Roach. Rishabh Pant scored 24 runs before he was dismissed by Kemar Roach.


Ravindra Jadeja scored his 11th half-century of Test cricket and took India to 297 runs before he was dismissed by Jason Holder for 58 runs. Jadeja notched up a 50-run partnership with Ishant Sharma.

Kemar Roach for West Indies took four wickets, while Shannon Gabriel took three in his name. Roston Chase took two and Jason Holder dismissed 1.
