Pakistan to host cricket match after a long time, will play against Sri Lanka

Pakistan will host an international bilateral series after a long time. Pakistan will play a three-match ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka. This is the second time Sri Lanka will go to Pakistan after a terror attack on the team bus in 2009. Sri Lanka went to Pakistan for a T20I match in 2017.

In a joint statement from the Pakistan and Sri Lankan boards, it was announced that the ODI series will begin on September 27 in Karachi where the other two games will also be played on September 29 and October 2. The T20I series will be played in Lahore from October 5.


Pakistan and Sri Lanka will also play a two-match Test matches but the series will not be played in Pakistan, instead, they will play in the United Arab Emirates. Sri Lanka sports minister Harin Fernando confirmed the news.

Sep 27: 1st ODI, Karachi

Sep 29: 2nd ODI, Karachi

Oct 2: 3rd ODI, Karachi

Oct 5: 1st T20I, Lahore

Oct 7: 2nd T20I, Lahore

Oct 9: 3rd T20I, Lahore
