India Vs Afghanistan, Historic Test Match : Three Afghanistan players Team India should worry about

In the holy month of Ramadan, under the leadership of Virat Kohli’s deputy Ajinkya Rahane, India is set to lock horns with Afghanistan in the historic one-off Test match at Bengaluru tomorrow 14th June.

It will be the most glittering moment for the Afghanistan as they will play their maiden historic test match in the red ball format.


India will be part of a team’s maiden Test for the fourth time. Previously, India alresdy hosted Bangladesh, Pakistan and Zimbabwe’s maiden Test. At home, this will be the 2nd such occasion for India. India's first such instance came way back in 1952 when they hosted Pakistan’s debut Test in Delhi.

Afghan Players Who Could Make an Impact

Rashid Khan : The real test yet to begin for Rashid Khan. This Afghanistani  magician a match winner  is just like Virat Kohli for their team. His superb performance in T20 leagues and for national team  earned him  the tag of the best T20 bowler at present from the legendary Sachin Tendulkar during this edition of the Indian Premier League. He was very consistent bowler for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Rashid Khan has also superb game against the Bangladesh and thrashed their batting line-up.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman : He was unknown identity  till Kings XI Punjab had picked for a auction in the rcently concluded Indian Premier League. Rahman doesn't have any  experience at the first-class, But  Mujeeb’s sterling performance in the IPL that helped him to register thier spot in the Test squad.

The combination  of off-spin, leg-spin and googlies can trouble Indian batsmen even if there is an inch of turn on the M. Chinnaswamy wicket. 

Mohammad Nabi : This player had phenomenal first class cricket. He is one of the most senior player for the team. In his first class cricket he scalped 86 wickets and scored 1251 runs from 32 games. Nabi had a best bowling figure 6/33.

Nabi was also a part of T20 leagues across the globe like the Big Bash League, Bangladesh Premier League and Pakistan Super League among others.
