Indian pace bowler Ishant Sharma didn't get a buyer in Indian Premier League (IPL) and now he is going to follow the footsteps of his teammate Cheteshwar Pujara. According to the current updates, Ishant Sharma is now going to play for English County team Sussex. Ishant will play five first class and eight A-list matches for Sussex.
According to a report, these days Ishant Sharma is waiting for a permission from BCCI and Ishant will play for County cricket from 4th April to 4th June.
Ishant Sharma from County's website said, "I want to say thanks to Sussex team who considered me after seeing my current performance. I wish that I could perform my best to the Sussex team."
The Sussex team director Keeth Greenfield said, "It is important to take Ishant's services Jorfa Archer and Chris Jorden have been sold for IPL and in that case, we need a fast bowler."
The interesting thing is that this is the first time when Ishant Sharma will play for County cricket.
