The match played between CSK and SRH was the one between the two table toppers who have been proving themselves this season. Sunrisers Hyderabad batted first and set up a target of 179 runs before the CSK. The total was a decent one keeping in mind the best bowling side of the IPL this season. SRH have defended totals less than 150 successfully but this time they were up against CSK's lethal batsmen.

Amabati Rayudu has been hitting the runs this season irrespective of the team he is up against and he has been consistent with his performance. Coupled with Shane Watson, Rayudu built the much-required base for the CSK. Rayudu went on to hit his first ever IPL century and was unbeaten till the end.

However, Dhoni has come up and he is all praise for the batsman.

"Even before IPL started I had to make space for Rayudu because he is somebody I rate him very highly. He can play both the fast bowlers and spinners very well. Most teams look to exploit the opener with spin bowling. He is someone who doesn't look like a big hitter but almost clears the field every time he plays the big shot," Dhoni said after his team beat the Sunrisers by eight wickets.

"It's a good position (opening) to bat in T20s. I am enjoying it right now. There's no secret. I was ready to open. If you are good at 4-day cricket, you can bat at any position," Rayudu said in the post-match presentation.
