After India’s amazing victory against the rival team Pakistan in Asia Cup in One-Day Internationals has made the crowd filled with excitement. The team India was looking unstoppable in the tournament. We must thank our new opening pair in ODI who helped the team in bringing this huge victory.

Well, we are talking about Indian batsmen Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma who has reminded everyone India’s most successful opening pair of all time i.e. Sachin Tendulkar and Virendra Sehwag during the match as the duo have surpassed them and become the second most successful India opening pair in ODIs.

Rohit and Dhawan had played a 210-run partnership against the arch-rival in the ODI and it is also the highest-ever opening stand against Pak in the history. Team India won the match by nine wickets against Pak in the Super four match of the Asia Cup 2018 in Dubai on Sunday.

The whole credit goes to this new opening batsman jodi i.e. Shikhar and Sharma, who hit the 13th Century for the team after Sachin and Sehwag’s 12 hundred-plus opening partnership.

Also, Sachin and Sourav Ganguly lead the chart with 21 hundred-plus opening stands in ODIs, who has made the whopping 6609 runs in 136 innings. They have been followed by former players of Australian openers Adam Gilchrist and Mathew Hayden who recorded 16-century partnerships with 5372 runs in 172 innings.

Now, it’s time to see that Rohit and Shikhar could also beat the West Indies openers Gordon Greenidge and Desmond Haynes' record of 15 hundred partnerships in ODIs.
