Former finance minister Arun Jaitley passed away today in Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Jaitley was admitted to the hospital earlier this month after he complained about breathing problem. People from all walks of life condoled Jaitley’s demise which includes the current Indian skipper Virat Kohli.

Indian captain Virat Kohli paid his tributes to the former minister and Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) president. Kohli took to his official Twitter handle to express his grief. Kohli wrote, “Shocked & saddened to hear about the passing away of Shri Arun Jaitley ji. He was genuinely a good person, always willing to help others. He took out his precious time back in 2006 when my father passed away to come to my home & pay his condolences. May his soul rest in peace.”

Kohli in his tweet mentioned how the then DDCA president visited his home when his father passed away in 2006. Kohli was a nobody then, he was just part of the Delhi Ranji team.

Virat Kohli is currently on national duty representing India in the Caribbean. India is playing a bilateral series against West Indies. India outclassed West Indies in the T20I and ODI series by winning it from 3-0 and 2-0 respectively. India is now playing the first game of the two-match Test series against West Indies.
