Owned by Mukesh Ambani Reliance Jio stunned the entire telecom sector by offering free 4G data services and free voice calls for a year in 2016. With its innovative plans, Jio forced its rivals to lower the prices of their tariff voucher.

It was just before Diwali this year that Jio had offered its Dhan Dhan Dhan plan and just after a few days in a major set back to the telecom rivals of Jio, the company revised its Dhan Dhana Dhan plans and now the users of Jio can get 4GB data just for Rs 149.

Now to compete with Reliance Jio's Rs 149 recharge plan, one of the leading telecom operators Airtel has announced a new plan to its users according to which the company is offering 2 GB high-speed 4G data and unlimited free voice calls for 28 days on the tariff voucher of Rs 144.

The Bharti Airtel has unveiled this plan only for their prepaid users in which it is providing 2 GB data to its users with no FUP (fair usage policy). The term no FUP could be understood as the users can consume their data either at one go or they can spend it bit by bit till 28 days after recharge. Rs 144 plan also offers its users with a weekly threshold set at 1,000 minutes. Once the 1000 minutes are spent the company will cost its user with 10 paise per minute.

On the other hand, Reliance Jio's Rs 149 tariff voucher offers free unlimited data, free voice calls, roaming, SMS as well the Jio app subscription with fair usage policy limit of 150MB. Once the user finished it FUP, they can still enjoy free internet at the lower speed of 64 Kbps.
