Do you know who presented the longest union budget in the history of India?

Today, the second female finance minister of India, Nirmala Sitharaman is all set to present the first union budget of Modi cabinet 2.0. After independence, around 88 central budget has been presented and today Nirmala Sitharaman will raise the count.

However, now we have trivia of Union budget and according to that, only a few people know that Manmohan Singh has always been called as the best finance minister of India ever had. Manmohan Singh also has a record on his name to present the longest union budget of India ever in 1991. Manmohan Singh presented around 18,177 words, the longest ever union budget in parliament.

Whether the shortest budget ever was presented by HM Patel, he presented around 800 words budget in 1977. While talking about other facts, then only Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi were the only Prime Ministers of India who also presented the union budget.
