The controversial queen of Bollywood, Kangana Ranaut, is well known for her bold and blunt statements. She once again did something that will undoubtedly spark new debate.

Today, Ranaut took a potshot at filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt as she shared an old video of him. Sharing the old video clip on her Insta stories, Kangana claimed that the filmmaker's real name is not Mahesh, but ‘Aslam’.

The Queen actress further asked why Bhatt is hiding his ‘beautiful name’. She further advised Mahesh Bhatt to go by his real name (Aslam) and should not represent a ‘certain religion’ when he had converted.

The Panga actress took to her Instagram Stories and shared video clips of Mahesh Bhatt. Not only that she also made some statements about the filmmaker and his ‘real name’. Sharing an old clip of Bhatt, Ranaut wrote, “Mahesh ji casually and poetically inciting people for violence.”

“I am told his (Mahesh Bhatt) real name is Aslam… he converted to marry his second wife (Soni Razdan)… it is a beautiful name, why hide it?”Ranaut wrote along with the second clip.

“He must use his real name, not represent a certain religion when he has converted,” she further wrote.

Interestingly, Kangana Ranaut made her acting debut in Bollywood in 2006 with the film Gangster. The movie was however produced by Mahesh Bhatt.

For the unheard, the Thalaivi actress, in 2020, accused the filmmaker of assaulting her, when she refused to work in the movie Dhokha. The movie was directed by Bhatt’s daughter Pooja Bhatt.

The most recent attack on Bhatts by the actress was ahead of the release of Alia's film Gangubai Kathiawadi. Raising questions about the film’s casting she indirectly called Alia Bhatt ‘Papa Ki Pari’ (daddy’s angel).
