Why does Hrithik Roshan's Mohenjo Daro take us back to Hollywood's 2012?

The Hrithik Roshan - Pooja Hegde-starrer Mohenjo Daro is just a week away from its release. And the audience is eagerly awaiting this Ashutosh Gowarikar directorial, thanks to its new promos and songs.

In fact, a new action promo of the film features a destruction scene with a flood destroying the entire civilization.

This, in particular, has reminded many of the international hit, 2012, which depicted the world's end as water engulfs the entire planet. The movie was loosely based on the prediction that the world will end in 2012. Yes, Mohenjo Daro's flood scene does take one back to that.

However, while the Hollywood film remained of the best films of its times both at the Box Office and in terms of the content, the Hrithik Roshan film is yet to clear its test!

Also featuring Kabir Khan, Mohenjo Daro is slated for release on 12 August and faces a Box Office clash with Akshay Kumar's Rustom.
