Introducing Amy Jackson: that 'firang' Kaur to Akshay Kumar's Singh in Singh Is Bliing

She is being termed as another Katrina Kaif and people have assumed that she is a newcomer. However, she is already a known face in the South industry. Amy Jackson, who will soon be seen opposite actor Akshay Kumar in his upcoming Singh Is Bliing, has been pushed under the limelight and mostly, because she is not Indian. She has been labelled as just another foreign actress in Bollywood.

1. Amy's full name is Amy Louise Jackson, and her entry into the glamour industry began when she won the 2009 Miss Teen World competition and the 2010 Miss Liverpool title.

2. Her father, Alan Jackson, works for BBC Radio Merseyside as a producer. She debuted in Bollywood with Gautham Menon's Ek Deewana Tha, opposite Prateik Babbar.

3. As she told the media at a press conference held in Delhi, she always wanted to be tagged as an 'action heroine' when she initially stepped into the Indian film industry. However, things changed and as she gained experience, she realised that she enjoyed doing other types of roles as well.

4. In her interview to Bollywood Hungama, she mentioned how she landed her role in Singh Is Bliing. And the story goes like:

"I had just landed in Mumbai from London. My makeup artiste came to pick me up. He had to collect curlers from producer Ashvini Yarde's office. I was tired after a long flight and wanted to wait in the car. But my makeup artiste told me to come up and say hello. I just went up casually and said 'hi' to Ashvini. At that time another actress (Kriti Sanon) had already been signed for Singh Is Bliing and in fact, I didn't even know what Singh Is Bliing was."
