Annu Kapoor, who made his bollywood debut back in 1983, is commemorating his birth anniversary today. He has been a part of the film industry for almost four decades. In 2011, the actor made headlines for his statement on working with Priyanka Chopra.

Previously, the duo had worked in Akshay Kumar starrer 'Aitraaz', and featured in Vishal Bharadwaj's 'Saat Khoon Maaf' . He played the role of one of her seven husbands. The film based on Ruskin Bond’s book Susanna's 'Seven Husbands', also casted Irrfan Khan, Naseeruddin Shah, John Abraham, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Alexander Dyachenko.

In the time of promo, the altercation between the duo marked one of the biggest controversies in the hindi movie industry. It began when Annu Kapoor said that Priyanka Chopra refused to do intimate scenes with him. Annu said that he is not good-looking and not a hero.If he would have been a hero, then maybe Priyanka would have done intimate scenes with him. She does not have a problem doing intimate scenes with heroes. According to him, if talent goes out of the window, a person just needs to be good-looking.

In response to Annu’s comment, Priyanka said that if the actor wants to do intimate scenes and pass such cheap comments, then he should do those kinds of films.

Following that, Annu Kapoor stated that he never said anything against the actress. The actor was quoted as saying that when he was asked about his feelings about playing her husband, he had said that people will judge his performance on merit rather than based on whether he is playing husband to Priyanka. His advice to Priyanka was to not take all this too seriously.
