Veteran Bollywood superstar Vinod Khanna passes away at the age of 70

Senior Bollywood celebrity, Vinod Khanna, who was suffering from cancer, has passed away in a Mumbai hospital.

He died at the age of 70. The actor took his last breath at 11.20 am and died due to advanced bladder carcinoma, according to the private hospital where he was being treated.

Vinod Khanna's last film was Dilwale, which was released in the year 2015.

Vinod Khanna took birth on 6 October 1946 and he made his debut in the year 1968 with the film 'Man ka Meet'. He was shot to fame with 'Purab aur Paschim'.

He was awarded the Filmfare award for supporting role for his film 'Haath ki Safai' in 1975.

Actor-turned-politician Vinod Khanna was the parliamentarian from Gurdaspur in Punjab. He had won that seat several times on a BJP ticket.

The actor had married twice.

From his first wife, the actor has two sons, Rahul and Akshaye, while he has a son and daughter with his second wife.

The 'Dayawan' actor was recently admitted in HN Reliance Foundation and Research Centre in Girgaum earlier this month, due to severe dehydration.

A picture of the actor in the hospital went viral on social media.

The 70-year-old-actor looked quite pale in the photo and his body transformation shocked everyone.

In the picture, he could be seen standing with his family members wearing hospital uniform.
