Abhishek Chaubey's drug drama, Udta Punjab witnessed a jump in collections on Saturday (Day 2) as it raked in around Rs 11 crore taking the two-day total to Rs 21.75 crore.
The movie grew by around 10% in the metros; however, the collections at mass centres were below the mark. Surprisingly, despite recording near 90% occupancy across Delhi and Punjab on Day One, the film managed to show a growth in the two territories.
Majority of the growth has come from centres like Mumbai, Pune, and Bangalore. The movie is carrying a fairly good word of mouth amongst its target audience. It would be interesting to see how it fares at the Box-Office on the weekdays.
