This is what Deepika Padukone said when Karan Johar wanted to resign from MAMI

Hurt by the nepotism debate Bollywood's established filmmaker resigns from MAMI Board post. As per reports, KJo took this decision as he was upset that none of his friends from Bollywood came out in his support when netizens were criticising him for the ongoing nepotism in Bollywood.

The filmmaker who was quite active on both Instagram and Twitter during the lockdown period has suddenly unfollowed many on Twitter and has also restricted his comment section on recent Instagram posts. This all happened when Takht director dropped his last post on Sushant's sudden demise and as soon as he posted on his social media handle, netizens flooded his comment section criticizing him for Sushant's death and launching star kids.

When the Chairperson of MAMI, Deepika Padukone, heard this she immediately called Kjo to convince to not end his association with MAMI, however, her all efforts went in vain because Karan was adamant and said that his decision is final.
