Star Screen Awards 2018: Ranveer Singh gets emotional after bagging best actor award; says, 'Film Me Mujhe Rani Nahi Mili'

The newlywed couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone stole the limelight and grabbed all eyeballs with their presence in the award show. The award function held in Mumbai on Sunday night of 16th December. Ranveer sported the quirky flamboyant suit like what he mostly does, while Deepika looks amazing in Anamika Khanna ensemble.

In the award night, Ranveer Singh won the best actor in the leading role for his performance in Padmaavat. He played the role of Alauddin Khilji in the film and all his dedication turned it into the award. After winning the award, Ranveer came to winning speech and dedicated the award to his late grandmother who passed away early this year. Then he dedicated the magnum award to his wife Deepika Padukone and he even shared a picture of Deepika on the Instagram story when Deepika was in tears when Ranveer was giving his speech. He gave the caption "Proud Wifey".

In one of video that came out immediately from the function shows the full speech of Ranveer Singh. Ranveer Singh was seen saying, “Film main mujhe Rani nahi mili ( I did not get the Queen in the film), but in real life, I have got my Queen. Baby, I love you. Pichle 6 saal main maine kuch bhi achieve kiya hai, kyunki aapne mujhe grounded rakha, centered rakha, thank you for everything and I love you. (Whatever I have achieved in the last 6 years is because you kept me centered and grounded).”

 

On the other hand, one hand Ranveer Singh is busy in the promotions of his next film Simmba that is slated to release on 28th December 2018. Even Deepika will start the shooting of Meghna Gulzar's Laxmi Agarwal biopic.
