Sonchiriya starring Sushant Singh Rajput starrer and Manoj Bajpayee delayed; now to release on new date

Since the trailer of Sushant Singh Rajput and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Sonchiriya has come out and it has just raised the buzz about the film. This is the first time when Sushant Singh Rajput is playing the role of a dacoit and with him, we will see actress Bhumi Pednekar playing the role of rural women. The film was supposed to release on 8th February 2019 but it looks like that the makers are not ready to release the film on the slated date.

 

According to the new updates now the film will release on 1st March and with this now the film goes postponed for three more weeks. Actually, the decision could have been taken after seeing the films that are coming around Sonchiriya. Actually, on the 1st of February, Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, and Juhi Chawla starrer Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga is releasing.

 

Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga is actually based on the love story of a lesbian girl played by Sonam Kapoor. While on another hand, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy is releasing on 14th February 2019 and the film is already on high when it comes to the buzz. So the makers have thought to go under light between both the films.

 

This could be the reason why makers thought of coming on 1st of March till then both the films would have made their box office figures. Now the intersting thing is that now the film will have a tough fight at the box office with Luka Chuppi starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon and besides that Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starring Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar is also releasing on the same date.

Talking about the film Sonchiriya then it stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Bhumi Pednekar, Manoj Bajpayee, Ranvir Shorey and Ashutosh Rana in the leading roles. The film has directed by Udta Punjab fame director Abhishek Chaubey.
