During the promotions of Bang Bang, Director Sidharth Anand and Hrithik Roshan had promised to take the characters forward in form of a Bang Bang franchise. Now when the film released and did well at the Box-Office, as promised Sidharth Anand has announced the sequel of the film. However neither Hrithik Roshan nor Katrina Kaif will be a part of the film.

If reports are to be believed, Sidharth wants to start shooting for Bang Bang 2 early next year, however Hrithik Roshan, known to do one film at a time already has prior commitments with Yash Raj Films. The actor has signed YRF's action packed franchise, to be directed by Dhoom 3 director Vijay Krishna Acharya. The film will be on the lines of Mission Impossible series and the first part of the franchise is expected to go on floors in January next year.

Due to date issues, Sidharth Anand and Hrithik Roshan with mutual consent decided to part off. Anand went ahead to discuss the project with Sidharth Malhotra who loved the plot and will sign the dotted lines soon. Without getting much into the details, Sidharth Malhotra confirmed the same to Pinkvilla by saying, "Work is in progress. It is too early to talk or comment about it. There is nothing official yet. Whenever it happens I shall let you all know."

Reports are going around that Jacqueline Fernandez has replaced Katrina Kaif in Bang Bang 2, however official confirmation is still awaited. In the past, Jacqueline had confessed that she would love to do an action packed role and would perform some deadly stunts herself.

Knowing the kind of action Bang Bang had, and acknowledging Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez's ability to pull of high octane action sequences, Bang Bang 2 might as well be a treat for action lovers.
