Farhan Akhtar's Rock On 2 to be released on 11 November

The much-anticipated sequel to the 2008 musical drama, Rock On, is scheduled for release on 11 November 2016.

Farhan Akhtar, who made his Bollywood acting debut with Rock On!!, will produce the sequel, which is directed by Shujaat Saudagar.

Rock On 2 will see Shraddha Kapoor joining the original cast - Arjun Rampal, Prachi Desai and Purab Kohli.

Rock On!! won over audiences with its taut script, solid performances and catchy tunes. The Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy trio has been roped in once again to provide music for the film.

Farhan Akhtar recently revealed that the shooting for the film would be wrapped up by end-January or the first week of February. The final schedule of the film will be shot in Mumbai.

The actor will be seen next in the Amitabh Bachchan-helmed film Wazir, which releases on 8 January, 2016.
