Shefali Jariwala reveals why she didn't take up work after her Kaanta Laga music video

Shefali Jariwala, who rose to fame with her music video Kaanta Laga which was released in 2002. After giving the superhit dance track, she was not seen in any projects and disappeared from the showbiz world. However, she again grabbed the limelight after she appeared in Salman Khan’s show, BiggBoss 13.

Recently, the actress has spoken about the reason that why she didn’t work with any project after her music video.


 

During an interview with Etimes TV, Shefali talked about her struggles with her health issues and getting back to work.

Here’s what Shefali Jariwala said:

While talking to Etimes TV, a BB13 contestant said that she had an epilepsy seizure at the age of 15. She revealed that at that age she was under tremendous pressure to perform well in her studies. “Stress and anxiety can lead to seizures. It's interrelated, you could get a seizure due to depression and vice versa. I have got seizures in classrooms, backstage, while on roads, and somewhere that lowered my self-esteem,” Shefali said.

 

She further talked about why she didn’t take up work after the Kaanta Laga music video.

Shefali said that many people asked her why she didn’t do more work. The actress said that because of the epilepsy seizures she couldn’t work more. She had no idea that when she would get the next seizure and she had faced this problem for 15 years.

She had no seizure for the last nine years and she is proud of herself because she managed her depression, panic attacks, and anxiety issues.

Shefali further talked about how is she staying positive during the pandemic. “The pandemic situation has been tough, but I consciously worked on my mental health and stayed away from any kind of things that could trigger depression,” the actress said.

She revealed that she is focused on doing meditation, yoga, drawing, sketching, and other things that kept her happy.

 

“Exercise and some positive lifestyle changes helped me a lot,” Shefali said.

For the unversed, Shefali got married to actor Parag Tyagi. The couple also participated in Nach Baliye 5. Shefali was also appeared in web series in 2018 and was last seen in Bigg Boss 13.
