Shakuntala Devi: Vidya Balan looks amazing in her first look as mathematician genius
Post the huge success of Mission Mangal, actress Vidya Balan has moved for her another venture Shakuntala Devi biopic. The actress is all set to play the mathematician genius Shakuntala Devi in her next film and the film will be made under the banner of Sony Pictures. The film will bring the glorious story of Shakuntala Devi on the silver screen who was also known as 'The Human-Computer'.
Finally, the film has gone to the floors and the makers also released its first look in Vidya Balan as Shakuntala Devi. Vidya Balan shared the look on her Twitter account and wrote, “She was extraordinary, in every sense of the word! Know the story of the child prodigy & the human-computer, #ShakuntalaDevi.”
In the first look, Vidya Balan can be seen sporting Red Saree and flaunting bob cut. The shooting of the film has begun in London from today onwards. Shakuntala Devi surprised the world with her talent of swift calculations form a very young age. Despite having no formal education she made a name for herself worldwide as 'Math genius'. She even got a place in Guinness Book of World Records.
Talking about the film, director Anu Menon said, “I have always been fascinated by Shakuntala Devi and truly felt that hers is an incredible story that had to be told. She was an extraordinary woman, who lived ahead of her times and on her own terms, unapologetically. From Vidya Balan to the rest of the cast and crew, and my producers – Vikram and Sony Pictures Networks Productions, I am so glad that all the elements have come together for us to put our best foot forward. I’m delighted that everyone will finally get to witness it on the big screen.”
