A few weeks ago the director Shoojit Sircar announced his next directorial venture Udham Singh, starring Vicky Kaushal. The film is a period drama based on the life of freedom fight Udham Singh. Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal has become a blue-eyed boy of Bollywood after giving successful films like Uri The Surgical Strike and Sanju.

Now reports are that Sara Ali Khan has rejected an offer opposite Vicky Kaushal and that too under Shoojit Sircar. Actually, Sara Ali Khan also has become a most demanding actress after her two back to back successful performances in Simmba and Kedarnath. Even her film Simmba did around 200 crores business at the box office and what is better to have 100 crores films in the starting of the career.

According to a report of leading daily, Sara Ali Khan was approached to play the leading role in Udham Singh but the actress apparently denied the offer. It is being told that Sara rejected the role because of her meaty appearance like Simmba and she doesn't want to do short role films now. She directly denied the film and reports were also that Sara who has started the shooting for Love Aaj Kal 2 has also denied Udham Singh for this film.

Actually, reports suggest that Sara Ali Khan is currently shooting for Imtiaz Ali's Love Aaj Kal 2 starring alongside Kartik Aaryan and her schedule of shooting was actually clashing with Udham Singh. So she decided to go with Kartik Aaryan's film besides Udham Singh starring Vicky Kaushal.

Vicky Kaushal talking about Udham Singh said, "It's a surreal feeling because it's like a dream come true as I am finally getting to work with him. I have always been a big admirer of how Shoojit sir looks at his stories. The way he is looking at the character (Udham Singh) and the world is extraordinary as well as beautiful. Plus, it's also a big honour for me that finally, I am going to be directed by him. Honestly, that's something that will take time to sink in."
