Actor Salman Khan is gearing up for his upcoming Bollywood film -- Sultan, which is a wrestling drama and features the actor as Haryanvi wrestler Sultan Ali Khan. While the teaser of this YRF film has already gone viral, the buzz around Salman Khan's earthy look hasn't died down yet.

However, his recent choice of characters, of late, have been more muted than the one in Sultan. So, what made him sign this Ali Abbas Zafar film?

At a recent event where he was declared the goodwill ambassador for the Indian contingent at Rio Olympics 2016, Salman answered a few questions about Sultan in light of how the film promotes sports in the country.

Revealing the reason for choosing this film, Salman explained that this project made him experience the "pain of learning". The actor said:

"The pain of learning, what these people have, which pushes you to the next level, somewhere I don't have that anymore. That is what I want to get back and that is the reason why I signed Sultan at 50 and enjoy the pain of learning."

Sultan is slated for release on Eid this year.
