Though Prem Ratan Dhan Payo managed to rake in impressive collections at the Box Office, the film failed to impress viewers or critics.
The Sooraj Barjatya directorial failed to live up to the hype that it had managed to garner before its release late last year. While some viewers were put off by the rather dull story, others were put off by the saccharine drama and the lackluster performances. Others were put off by the runtime of the film.
However, despite the flak they received for the family drama, Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya have decided to join hands for yet another film. This will be their fifth outing together.
