Will Rajinikanth launch the theatrical trailer of Vijay's Theri next week?

The theatrical trailer of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's upcoming film Theri is nearing its release. While initial reports said that the grand audio launch of the film will be held on 20 March at Chennai's Sathyam Cinemas, it has now been revealed that the official trailer too will be released that day.

According to reports, superstar Rajinikanth and noted composer AR Rahman are expected to attend the mega event - which will also mark the 50th time that GV Prakash has composed music for a film.

Theri is scheduled for a Box Office release on the occasion of Chithirai Thirunaal - the Tamil new year - on 14 April. But the film has managed to garner terrific response, with advance booking for the film already well underway.

Theri, which also stars Amy Jackson and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, marks Atlee's second directorial outing after the blockbuster Raja Rani.
