On his birthday Varun Dhawan confirms the remake of Coolie No. 1 starring opposite Sara Ali Khan
On the eve of his 31st birthday, Varun Dhawan has given his fans a treat by finally announcing her next movie which is the remake of the cult film Coolie No. 1 which starred Govinda and Karishma Kapoor. In the remake, we will see Varun and Sara Ali Khan stepping in the shoes of Govinda and Karishma respectively.
The movie will be directed by Varun’s father David Dhawan and for the third time, he will be directing his son’s movie after Main Tera Hero and Judwaa 2 which was the remake of Salman Khan’s film Judwaa. Recently trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his twitter handle to announce this good news to the fans he wrote, “IT’S OFFICIAL... After 25 years, David Dhawan and Vashu Bhagnani reunite to adapt their timeless comedy #CoolieNo1... Stars Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan... According to a source filmmakers are planning to remake two songs from the original film they are ‘Husn Hai Suhana’ and ‘Main To Raste Se Ja Raha Tha’. Though they are also planning to pick the original songs rather remaking them as they are hit songs till date. Also, the source said in the film Varun will carry a different look unlike that of Govinda.
Talking about his other projects Varun was recently seen in Karan Johar’s multi-starrer film Kalank and is now currently shooting for Remo D’Souza’s upcoming film Street Dancer. Not just this he will also be appearing in Salman Khan’s upcoming film Bharat in a cameo role.
