Official: Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor sign Half Girlfriend

A couple of days back, we reported that the makers of Half Girlfriend were in talks with a few young actors to play the lead in the Bollywood adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's novel, Half Girlfriend. After a series of rumours it is now finally official that the much anticipated film, to be directed by Mohit Suri, will star Arjun Kapoor in lead.

This is not the first time that Arjun Kapoor will bring Chetan Bhagat's character to life, as in the past the actor impressed everyone with his performance in 2 States. A section of trade is buzzing with the reports that Shraddha Kapoor will be paired alongside Arjun in the film, while another section states that Shraddha is yet to sign the film.

However, our sources exclusively revealed that Shraddha and Arjun had a joint narration recently and the duo have already signed the film. Official announcement about the same will be made soon.

Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, the film will release in the last quarter of 2016. The makers are eyeing the September/October spot to release the film.
