Parineeti Chopra will next be seen as an aspiring singer in Maneesh Sharma's Meri Pyaari Bindu. The Yash Raj Films production, directed by Akshay Roy, also features actor Ayushmann Khurrana.
The film will see Parineeti belting out some tunes for the first time ever. At the recently-concluded Times Of India Film Awards 2016 in Dubai, the actress said singing was a family trait, considering how her cousin, Priyanka Chopra has managed to juggle a successful singing career along with her acting projects.

The 27-year-old Bollywood actor, who was last seen on screen in the 2014 film, Kill Dil, co-hosted the award ceremony. On being asked about her family's reaction to her singing debut, Parineeti said:

I think it's in Chopra blood to sing so they were very happy that I was getting to do it professionally finally."
When asked if she would be soon work on single albums like Priyanka - who has to her credit hit singles like In my city ft. Will.i.am and Exotic ft. Pittbull, Parineeti said:
