Laxmmi Bomb: Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani starrer to release on Disney Plus Hotstar in June
Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani’s most anticipated film Laxmmi Bomb is soon going to hit your TV screens. Yes, the film is not releasing in theatre rather is coming directly at your doorsteps in June. Earlier, we told you that the makers Akshay Kumar, Raghava Lawrence (Director), Vijay Singh (Fox Star Studios) and producer Tusshar Kapoor are in talks with the officials of Disney+Hotstar to release the film on the OTT platform.
So, after 3 weeks of meeting and discussions, everyone reached a common ground to get the film release directly on the OTT platform. As per reports, the makers have not revealed the release date however there are reports that the film will release in June.

As per Bollywood Hungama, that the makers don’t expect the cinema halls to open before September this year due to Coronavirus outbreak so they have given up on the theatrical and hoped on to Diney+Hotstar as it ensures worldwide reach. The source also revealed that the makers have cracked a huge deal by negotiating the satellite and digital rights with Star Network and Fox Star Studios.
“The combined value of the deal from the sale of digital and satellite rights is estimated to be around Rs. 90 to 100 crores, in addition to the income from music rights. A major chunk of the money goes in Akshay Kumar’s pocket, as apart from acting, he is also one of the producers on the film,” the source explained.

Currently, the director is busy on the final edit and post-production of the film from Hyderabad, while Akshay is expected to send his dubbing tapes digitally to the director on a couple of days.
With Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starrer Laxmmi Bomb, making its way to Disney+Hotstar, it becomes the first-ever movie to release on OTT platform. Well, we also expect that after seeing Akshay’s film a lot of films will follow suit.
